Business grows differently when the right people know your name.

Bloom Connections is a community for women in business, centered in the Black woman business experience. We create spaces for women to build meaningful professional relationships, share expertise, discover opportunities, and become known for what they do.

As the community grows, we’re also creating a bridge between women and the companies and organizations that want to reach them, learn from their experiences, and invest in what they’re building.

Latifah Abdur is an entrepreneur, marketing leader and the founder of Bloom Connections and Elite Vivant. After years of building businesses and working with companies on growth, she became interested in something outside the marketing funnel: the business value of being remembered. Not just being visible, but known well enough that someone understands where you fit.

It started with a few LinkedIn messages.

In August 2025, I started reaching out to women on LinkedIn with a simple invitation: come meet other women in business.

There was no membership pitch and no expectation that everyone in the room would become a client. I wanted to create the kind of space where relationships could develop before someone needed a referral, an introduction, or an opportunity.

Women joined. Then they came back. They invited other women. Wednesday morning conversations began turning into introductions, collaborations, shared resources, referrals, and relationships that continued long after the call ended.

But something else was happening in those conversations.

Women were telling us what they were building, who they wanted to meet, what resources they were using, where they needed support, and what they were seeing in their businesses and industries.

That made the opportunity behind Bloom much bigger than networking.

We’re building a community where women can know one another well enough to create opportunity for each other, while giving their experiences, expertise, and perspectives a place to be heard.

A job title isn't enough to make a great introduction.

A title tells us what someone does. A conversation helps us understand who they serve, what they’re building, what they know, what they need, and who might benefit from knowing them.

That context changes the quality of a connection.

When women have opportunities to talk beyond their titles, it becomes easier to recognize a potential referral partner, collaborator, resource, client, expert, or introduction. That’s why Bloom Connections creates more than opportunities to exchange contact information. We create opportunities to understand the women behind the businesses.

More than one way to find what you need.

Wednesday mornings are for Black women in business.

Every Wednesday, Black women across industries and locations gather for a structured hour of business conversation — introductions, breakout conversations, an Educational Moment, and time to talk about what’s happening inside our businesses right now.

You don’t need to arrive with a polished pitch. You can have an established company and still be figuring something out. You can have a question and still be the person with the answer someone else needs.

The goal is to leave knowing more about the women in the room than you did when you arrived — and build from there the following week.

Bloom began with Black women, and that remains central to who we are — as we grow, we’re also creating select events and resources for women more broadly, without changing what Wednesday is for.

Rather than making membership the only doorway into useful relationships and resources, we're creating multiple ways for women to participate — without a subscription.

That doesn’t mean everything Bloom creates will be free. It means access itself isn’t the product. There will be paid services and experiences where additional investment makes sense — but entering our ecosystem, learning something useful, discovering an opportunity or beginning a relationship doesn’t need to start with a credit card.

Free is a price. Accessible is a philosophy.
